My face when my fiance finally got his computer working...

So remember a long time ago about the Monster fiasco?

Well, a really generous friend of my fiance’s funded him a motherboard this week as an early X-Mas/B-day present.  We weren’t expecting to get it fixed for another few weeks since our fixer guy (aka his brother) is unavailable.  He looked up some stuff on how to install a motherboard and decided to delve into fixing it himself.  

After trial and error, he did it.  

What does this mean? Well, it means Monster is back from the dead, and it also means that I can FINALLY PLAY SIMS 3 AGAIN! Since it has been nearly a year since I have been able to do anything, I’m gonna have to go through my downloads and even go into the game and hope that the Tickians’ save is still there.  

I am over the moon right now.  As small as this is (and it wasn’t even directly for me), this is our Christmas miracle.  This year has been a trying one for us all computer issues aside.  If it wasn’t considered cheating, I’d give this friend of his a wet kiss.  LOL.  Now what we need is a bag of money to drop on our heads and all will be well.  Sorta.

BUT YESSSSSS!

So...

Fiance’s computer is shot. 

Our daughter (aged 22 months) is a sweet little girl who gets into EVERYTHING.  She’s also very clumsy. Extremely clumsy.  So when she was trying to get into trouble by touching something else (ironically, this was the one time she didn’t try to touch his computer), she knocked down his tower.

Luckily, it turns that the only thing damaged was the power supply, which runs about 20 dollars.  The bad news is…well, 20 bucks is usually spent on diapers for a very stubborn 22-month-old who will only go to the potty to play in it.  However, my fiance, as a gamer, has friends in high places.  Said friend is working on getting a power supply.  But the process so far has been slow.  Not sure when it’ll be ready again, but what this means is…

No Sims 3 for the foreseeable future.  

Which also means that my legacy is on hold till that is fixed.

Because I was going through Sims withdrawal, I decided to reinstall Sims 2 on my laptop.  It runs it fairly well; I have all but Bon Voyage and maybe two stuff packs not installed (mostly due to space restraints).  So I’m in search for some TS2 custom content.  I found some, but these are the things I am in dire want of:

-Solid wall paint and carpets (as in no patterns)

-Toddler clothing

-Teen clothing, especially male

-Adult clothing, especially male pants (I literally have no CC male pants)

-Furniture

-Not sure if they exist, and I’ll have to google it probably, but a camera mod.

I’m a little picky on the CC I’m going to pick, because I have limited space and I am also running it on a laptop that’s well past its prime.  So high poly stuff, as nice as they can be, is out for the most part.
