I have always used ‘catastrophic’ in my usernames and whatnot so basically that’s why I’m…

Mine is from the song cayucas by cayucos which is one of my favorite bands, I also like cats. So it happened.

spero was the name of a long ago failed legacy.. I origionaly said it like sparrow and I like birds so… thats actually how I still say it. but its whatever lol

My favorite game series is the elder scrolls and on my main blog my url is M0rrowind after the 3rd game in the series, so I carried it over to my simblr!

I made this blog to primarily create NSFW images and just erotic storylines. It’s a play on the word “eroticism”. 8P

This is the dialogue of me creating my Tumblr URL:

Because I am remarkably un-witty and un-creative when it comes to screen names. I had sexy sims. Hence the dorkiest simblr name ever. 

It’s based off a site I had a long time ago of the same name.  It was basically me “talking” to my Sims.  It was a play on how playing The Sims tends to give people God complexes, and since I’m a woman, I used “Goddess” instead,

Not 100% sure why I tacked on “Miss”, but it is what it is.

I laughed at the delivery of this, but I do agree that when you’re ill prepared for something as simple as “2 inches of snow”, which if you’re living in the south where this weather NEVER happens is a big deal, this stuff happens.  Extreme cold for them is a really bad thing even, because a lot of the homes there aren’t insulated enough to handle that kind of cold.  We can joke about it all we want, but see, I’m from the Northeast/Midwest.  Snow happens here in the winter.  If Mother Nature flipped a switch and it was suddenly 100 degrees in January, we couldn’t cope with that.  We barely cope in the summer even.

Not that I’d complain if it was 100 degrees in January—it has done NOTHING but snow in Michigan since November, and I am OVER WINTER.  It is never fun to go out to an interview and have no shoes that can withstand ice, so you pretty much have to walk like a fucking penguin in shoes with no traction…

So yes, it sounds ridiculous that a small amount of snow (for us up north) would basically shut down 90% of the south, this is something they aren’t used to at all.

So a small update to this post:

It’s a pretty common glitch apparently, and it only seemed to affect 2-term university games.  But after snooping around the official Sims 3 forums, I found something that could be an odd (but possible) culprit.

I didn’t think anything of it until someone in that link mentioned it, but it’s VERY possible that the season changes may have something to do with it.  I have my seasons set for 7 days, so it actually changes every Sunday.  If this is the case, I’m gonna have to maybe disable seasons in the uni world, or use a mod (I think it was Tempest that deals with uni world/WA world weather) to fix it.  I don’t get the Sims 3 comp back from my fiance till tomorrow morning, so I will have to check it out tomorrow.  I’m also looking at other possibilities, but this one just seems so out there to the point where you can rule it out immediately without thinking about it.

With that said, going to revamp more houses in Sims 2.

Since the game has a limit to the number of sliders you can have per category, you need a mod like Awesomemod (core mod) or Nraas’ Master Controller + Intergration (non-core mod) or Sclub Slider Hack for all the sliders to appear and work.

Hell to the no.  I’ve read that the game that Sim City 5 did so shitty because of that reason (among other stuff) that Amazon essentially stopped selling digital copies of the game.  I play Sims because sometimes I don’t want to be online (or can’t if I’m traveling).  If they pull that shit with Sims 4, I will have an extra $300 in my pocket because I won’t buy it or its expansions.

Thank you.  I personally love having diversity in my game—it makes things more interesting.  Like for example, in my legacy family, the oldest is a lesbian and one of the twins are gay.  It makes for interesting stories, and as someone who does write stories (or at least try to), interesting is good.

Alienware was bought out by Dell, and Dell has a tendency to muck stuff up.  I had a Dell laptop that didn’t last the duration of its warranty before dying, they told me it’d cost $700 to fix it.  With that kind of money, might as well get a new one.  Which I eventually did.  And maybe their desktops are better, I dunno, but my cousin had issues with a Dell desktop, so…yeah, Dude, don’t get a Dell.

I’m in the market for a new laptop (ETA: Hopefully Christmas, but may be next March), and I steer clear from anything Dell, including Alienware, especially since I actually have seen a brand-new Alienware desktop go awry.  He did send it back eventually, and even replaced some parts OUT OF THIS NEW ONE as well.

Funny part is, this same guy built my fiance’s computer from the ground up—it is a monster.  Not sure why he didn’t build his own. For those who say to get a new desktop, sometimes that’s not possible due to space constraints—we don’t have a place big enough to hold two desktops, so I play on a laptop for stuff that isn’t graphically demanding (like Simming) and he has his desktop.
