I haven’t been too well these past few days Well, actually, I’ve been feeling like garbage for the past week or so, but I push through it because I still have a 2-year-old to take care of. But adding a migraine to the mix was enough to take me down for the count. So I haven’t done a lot of playing for the past few days. I managed to squeeze an hour out yesterday, and this is what I got. Triplet spammage. Rydia is teaching Prishe a nursery rhyme (Prishe is the lighter of the three, hence why I can tell her apart from the other two). I can tell I’ll have issues with that one.
Yuna and Aerith…if it wasn’t for the fact that Yuna’s Aerith’s eyes are green, and not taking into account hair and clothes, they look totally alike. Obviously, you can’t really tell by the screenshot. Aerith’s on the left, Yuna’s on the right. I have never had twins, let alone triplets with such identical genes as these two in any of my games. And I’ve had plenty of multiples in my games.
And…Yuna playing with a random puddle in the middle of the kitchen floor. Probably from the freaking nanny. Ew. She’s playing in piss! D:
Got around to the hair infestation issue...
Sorta. I got rid of any hair that was installed before April (I know I said June, but turns out I had stuff installed in January), but because I think some of the meshes are still used by some of the newer hairs, I’m not gonna risk moving those.
But well…Vimpse made a few retextures, so installing em. And she’s supposedly not done. Sooooo…yeah.
Now that TS4 will be coming out, I predict many TS2 players will end up moving to TS3 in order to stay remotely relevant.
Actually, I’m not sure about that. I’m hearing a lot of rumors about TS4 being online only, which would mean that I won’t be buying it because well… why the hell am I playing a single player game online? And they are very skimp on the details of what TS4 will entail. If it’s nothing different from TS3, I’ll stick with TS2/TS3 (and save that $300 that I would’ve spent on expansions).
Twillan (you know, Master Controller/Story Progression guy?) already said that he is not going to be doing any mod development for TS4. And we know how well EA’s Story Progression works (unless they learn from their mistakes).. Since this mod is a must-have for TS3, and I highly doubt anyone is gonna want to take over developing one for TS4, that’s more than enough reason for me to stick with TS2 and TS3.
So this whole thing about staying “relevant” is not an issue for me. I play not to keep up with the Goths and Landgraabs. I play because it keeps my ass sane.
So this is LITERALLY the tip of my hair folder. I could’ve scrolled down more to give you an idea, but ain’t nobody got time for that.
I actually have 573 items in this folder. I don’t know if it counted the hairs in folders, but that is a lot of hair. And I see even more that I want, but…
I gotta trim this folder down some. I don’t use most of the hairs I have (anymore). Some of the hair is like the super freaky bright-ass hairs which I don’t use because if you create a Sim in CAS with the unnatural colors, it borks the genetics. I remember in my old games I had a mom with black hair and rainbow streaks, and a couple of the kids had that hair. And I haven’t made any “rebellious” teens that dye their hair so I felt no need to use em. There’s also some hairs that I don’t use because at the time I thought they looked nice, but the textures are just way too shiny. Like…black would look gray shiny. So I’m going to go through my hairs that I had before I reinstalled Sims 2 on my laptop the first time (which was in…I think May or June?) and get rid of those. Out with the old, in with the new I suppose.

Birthdays galore! Rinoa is now a teenager with Fortune aspiration. This is a good thing since we have triplets in the house now and they do need some tending to since the nanny is absolutely useless most the time.
Speaking of triplets, since I’m not a fan of the newborn stage (they do absolutely nothing!) I grew em up to toddler a couple of (sim) days early. Pretty sure that’s Aerith Desti is holding. The only reason why I remember this is because I had to make over her hair. Poor child was a bit unfortunate-looking pre-makeover. Then Yuna is drawing with Prishe, who sorta reminds me of Rinoa when she was a toddler. Only time will tell.

This is why I absolutely hate ts2 nannies. If they’re not neglecting your kids to take a dip in your pool, raid your fridge for shit that you wouldn’t think would be there (Lobster Thermidor, none of my sims can cook it yet) and then LEAVES it half prepared, or piss on your floor, they’re neglecting your kids by sitting NEWBORNS ON THE COLD FLOOR! And STINKING NONETHELESS! Poor Yuna (or Aerith, both of them are dark-skinned, so the only way I could tell them apart is from the eyes, one has green, the other has brown).

And it’s done! I spent 10 hours, give or take an hour for a nap and random breaks due to toddler aggro, on this house. It’s still not 100% complete, but I did move the LaRoses out of the lot before building on it for sanity purposes.
So yeah, 3 floors, 4 (actual) bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a nursery, a den/study, pool, a garage that has a small living area upstairs (that’s actually gonna be my photoshoot area), 2 extra rooms, and a green house, and a small lake. Not sure if the lake can be fished in due to its odd position on the lot, but we’ll see.
I tried getting shots of all the bedrooms, but the only ones that came out decent was the master bedroom (the mass white room) and Kain’s bedroom (the blue if it wasn’t obvious). Rydia’s room is pink, Rinoa’s is purple, and the rooms I had no fucking idea what to do with them are green because I really hate the color green and in turn hate those rooms because I couldn’t figure out what the fuck to do with em!
So yeah, I’m gonna go die now.

So obviously not done. But I’ve been working on it since 11:30 this morning, so I need a nap. But thought I’d post my progress thus far. Windows are missing because I wanted to see how to set up the rooms before adding windows. And then I got the job of doing outside. EWWW.
This house has 3 floors: 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a nursery, pool, living/dining/kitchen with raised dining area, and 3 rooms that are undetermined space atm. I may convert one into a bathroom, and since the living/dining/kitchen area is pretty big, I may section off one small part for a half-bath. Because sometimes running up the stairs is not practical when you have the runs. There is a front and back deck, and three balconies—one leading from the nursery, one leading from the master bedroom, and one leading from the third floor hallway. Pretty sure they’re functional.
But that’s basically it.
So let me explain what happened here.
Somewhere between backing up, uninstalling, and reinstalling last night, The LaRose’s lot went missing. However, in a strange turn of events, they weren’t gone forever. I took a look in SimPE and sure enough, the lot’s gone, but the LaRoses were still intact, albeit sans relationships. After searching for ways to recover this family, I decided to call it a night (at 3am) and play with it in the morning.
So after a couple of mods, some tweaking in SimPE, and a migraine from hell, I got them back. The only thing that appears wonky are the pets—SimPE had them as human and they took on some human stuff…like walking on air. Well, technically humans don’t walk on air, but you get the idea. But I don’t know how to fix that or know if it’ll fix itself. And well, there is the fact that memories are gone, but I can’t remember all of that.
Because of this torture that I put this poor family through in the past 24 hours (unintentionally by the way), I decided to put them on a bigger lot. The old lot was large enough for Mom, Dad, 3 kids and 2 scratch-happy cats, but if you haven’t noticed, Desti is pregnant, Rydia and Kain share a bedroom together (I’m a little anal about that), and the lack of driveway/car drove me a little cooky. So that’s that. I’ll be spending the day working on a pimp lot fit for the crazy bunch.

Even more bad news...
Remember when I mentioned in this post that my 2-year-old daughter (personalities: Diva and Clumsy) knocked over my fiance’s computer (henceforth known as Monster)? Well, we were able to get a power supply, but it turned out that there was a little more wrong than met the eye.
The power supply did die, so it wasn’t a wasted effort by my fiance’s friend by sending the power supply. However, as luck would have it, one, two, or both things can be wrong. The processor, the motherboard, or both.
What this means is that regardless of what it is, it’s gonna cost us a lot more than we can dish out at the moment. So to both of our dismays (mine a little more trivial than his), Monster is down for the count—for a while unless we get really generous motherboard donations, which..well…won’t happen too easily. So there’s that.
But like I said, I still need my Sims fix, so I installed Sims 2 on my laptop since it can run it fairly well. I am still in search for some CC. I have found some since my last post, but since then, I actually lost a few pieces as well. I still am searching for:
-Clothing for all ages. I have zero male pant CC, I’m lacking male teen stuff as well. I have a lot of female stuff, but I’m looking for some pieces that aren’t overly slutty.
-Furniture
-Hair. Namely male hair. I’m looking for male hair that doesn’t make my sims look like flaming bishies (not that there’s anything wrong with flaming bishies, I just don’t want a huge collection of super long hairs for guys).
That’s it for now. Back to reinstalling Sims 2.
Soooo...
Uninstalling and reinstalling Sims 2 again. Not even sure what the hell happened, but the install somehow got corrupt despite the fact that I have been able to play it this whole time. So I couldn’t install a couple of stuff packs that I put off due to space constraints.
With my luck, this means I just lost the LaRoses. Fuck me.

Before y’all bombard my inbox demanding to know how I got octuplets, let me explain.
This was not a mod. My game glitched. This was totally accidental and strange. I originally wanted quadruplets and that is what I got until it glitched and gave me 4 more! I thought about deleting the younger 4 but then I figured, hey, screw it. When is my game ever going to give me octuplets again?

Prospective mates for the twins?
So Rydia and Kain brought home two townies. Rydia brought home this guy.
I don’t remember his name—it’s an exotic name, that much I can remember. He is a fixer-upper I suppose. I’ll have to grow him up to see how well he fairs (is there a way to do that gracefully?)
Kain, on the other hand, brought home Jane 
She has pretty eyes. A little worried about her nose though. She’s gonna need aging up for me to be sure of it.
Rinoa has only brought home one classmate from school, and it was a girl. That may or may not be a sign. Rinoa’s almost a teen, so let’s see who she gets in high school.

So Rinoa wanted a pet. Rune told her that if she got a good report card, she can get one pet. She got an A+, and Desti took all the kids to pick out a pet. Rinoa picked out a white cat and named him Snow. Rydia and Kain, a bit annoyed that Rinoa was the only one getting the say, bugged Desti into getting another cat. They chose a black-ish gray cat. Keeping up with the name theme, they named her Mithra.
This is gonna be fun.

They were always close.
I started playing a family on TS2. The LaRose family. Meet Rydia and Kain. They are twins born to Desti and Rune LaRose. Desti is a starving artist while Rune is a gamer. They have an older sister named Rinoa (the naming theme was intentional to an extent—I heard the name Rinoa somewhere before, and couldn’t think of where. Brownie points if you can guess the theme). These two are cute though, I will say that.
